It's also honest about the content provided, and doesn't take credit for a mod when only a settings preset is used. It would be another story if the preset author said something more along the lines of "This Reshade Preset makes Battlefront look like the VHS Films!" It's a positive message, and doesn't shit on anyone's shoes or opinions. To say that the game looks any worse than a glorified "VHS" mode is doing a monumental disservice to DICE and the entire idea of Image Quality. Dont expect to be able to shoot on the run. This Tactical Enhanced Combat Mod decreases the 'ego-shooter' factor of SWBFII and adds to the 'oh-crap-if-I-leave-this-cover-Im-going-to-die' factor, which is nearly non-existent with the regular game. The user pushes on others the idea that this looks "Better" and "Realistic" which it objectively does not, and their wording and tone are abrasive, acidic, and almost offensive. With this huge mod, running blindly at even a measly battledroid is going to get you mowed down. The problem most people, including myself, have with it is the way it is presented.

This "Mod" (Reshade Preset) is merely changing the theme by way of forcing a more muddy and messy visual style meant to replicate an old format that is no longer in use, due mostly to size and quality limitations. While this was used to convey the artists's theme, it was also objectively worse than using a professional looking camera setup with gimbals and what-not. Using them with a shaky cam setting might induce the idea that one is viewing a Documentary or candid style shot, ala Battlestar Galactica, which also used Film Grain to invoke a nostalgic, old SciFi movie vibe. However, these are thematic tools used to convey certain responses in the player or viewer. If you are using a camera which has these "Issues", then you are using a worse camera than one without them. Out-of-focus shots with screen-dust and chromatic aberration are objectively worse than an image without them, because they are features which are indicative of imperfect image capture. It's blurry, oversharpened and undersaturated, but these are by design to provide a specific look. New to the game? Got a question about the subreddit?
